Kanna Arrowed

I end latest 21st Dec but may end earlier than that depending on exam schedule. School starts 27th Jan.
Everyone, please blog on when your holidays are.

I would like to go to somewhere in Italy and Germany. Possibly Greece/Turkey/France/Belgium (for the beer).

Also, are we flying to London to kio free accom first or flying straight to whatever country we're starting from?
Ok here's what I found:

Euro Passes range from about SG$500 for 5 days of travel in 2 months in 4 neighboring countries (Benelux counts as one) to $750 for unlimited travel over 15 days. Alternative modes of transport are budget airlines (faster and quite possibly cheaper than the trains if well planned but airports are usually kinda ulu and cost a fair bit of money to get to. Trains are also more comfortable and you get to see where you're going) and buses (Buses are cheap I think but just not very comfortable).
CHIEH: Can you check roughly how expensive buses are?
In other words, we should really decide on which places we want to go to before figuring out transportation plans. For example, going to Portugal and the Czech Republic would be possible if we flew, not so by bus or train in all likelihood.

Right now, when I think of Europe, I'm thinking of food, beer and wine and castles, museums, art and cathedrals, in that order. Will blog more about each country when I have the time. Those of you who really want to go to a certain place, please find out more and blog.

Right now, looking at the map of Europe, it seems like a possible route would be France-(Belgium)-Germany-(Czech)-Austria-Italy-France. Countries in parenthesis can be bypassed when on a train. Howeverm to get from Germany to Italy, you have to pass through Austria.

Wikitravel has lots of stuff. So after reading briefly, I've concluded that France is a must-see with the most number of tourists of any country, great food and wine and museums galore.
