A Shocking Truth
Hi Balls, I am pretty sure that you guys will be fucking shocked about what I am about to tell you guys. It seems that there may be an answer or linkage to why I had the seizure in January. Last week, I had fever so many days and backaches... I went to see my neurologist and she told me to go do a chest and pelvic CT scan coz she suspected something was wrong inside. She was right. The CT scan showed a mass legion (tumour) at my chest area and I had to undergo a biopsy (which is cutting out a piece of tissue from the tumour) to determine the nature of the tumour. I went for this op on Monday and the results came out two days ago.
I am diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, which is a type of cancer of the lymph nodes. It is either at stage 2 or 3; still needing a groin area biopsy op to determine exactly. I guess anyone my age who receives this news would be like "what the fuck, I'm only 24. how do I get such crap like that?" I'm sure you guys will be kinda stunned at this moment. I have no fucking idea how I go this too. But since I have to face it, I might as well face it with optimism and a positive attitude. Don't be sad for me. I am not going to whine in despair or sink into depression. I will fucking conquer this piece of shit. Knn, I so young come and jiao me. Anyway, I will probably stop school and start treatment this week after the other biopsy is done.
In life, sometimes shit happens and you just have to deal with it. I regard this as a challenge I have to face. It will only make me stronger. My family members have accepted the situation already and they are fine. My mom is probably much more worried than I am. But that's mothers. Cherie is also ok. She has just went back to Aus for her last sem and will be back in June. I have something to wait for.
Sorry Chieh, I called Uncle Koo before telling you guys all this to ask him for his opinion about oncology specialists without telling you first. Anyway, don't worry about it, the doctors say that lymphoma is very treatable these days and I am absolutely sure that I will recover from this illness. Afterall, we still have to meet up to play Winning 11 20+? when we are 40 right?
Hmm... since I have to be home for quite a while during treatment, wonder if I should buy a PS3?
