Bah.

Another post. Because I care.

I was going to go into this slightly whimsical rambling about Comparative Legal Traditions, and how, on retrospect, it may have enriched my perspective on the world somewhat, and how it made me feel like playing Civilisations IV because I can make India found Communism and Judaism.

Then something fucked up happened. And now I hate CLT with a passion.

You see, this paper is a 2-and-a-half-hour long paper, downloaded off IVLE (fuck knows what that means, but it's this online interface which NUS is supposed to be very proud of; I think SMU gets it too, hope it doesn't fuck you guys over). Downloaded the file off IVLE, spent the next 2 hours plus typing stuff, hunched over my laptop. No biggie. Just the usual verbal and intellectual diarrhoea (I can spell "diarrhoea", wow!).

So at 12:27pm I rush to my desktop to upload it. The more astute amongst you all will realise that it's to be submitted at 12:30pm. Well it's only uploading, no big deal right? And then I open the folder I'm supposed to upload the file to (which says "Open" incidentally), and then I get a page that tells me it's closed. At 12:28pm. I panic. I message some people. I send some emails. I click frantically again and again. I realise I needed a beer. Then, at 12:33pm the folder miraculously reopened. And I am late.

Ah fuck.

And so I get pissed. And think murderous thoughts of my professor. And I question the wisdom of closing the work folder at 12:29pm (to prevent late submissions I suppose), when the file that you upload is already time-stamped. Then this realisation dawned upon me...:

"My professor is a dick."

Hungry. Lunchtime. Two and a half hours of my life wasted for (X - 1/2 grade), where X is the grade I would have gotten if I were not late.

Yeah, bitter. I know.
