My point, Chieh, was that if don't really hang out with freshmen, I'll have fewer and fewer friends as the years go by since everyone will graduate before me. I was not "pitching [sic] for compliments". And while having female friends is nice, it's also good to hang out with guys only, once in a while.

Hey I wished Nigel happy birthday on facebook ok. We definitely need to have a cook-out when we get back. I'm going to try making some curry minced pork thingy for dinner today. I spent last night thinking about all the dishes I could be making when I couldn't sleep. I find cooking very soothing strangely. You get to use your hands (yes I know you get to use your hands in many things) and it engages your senses and your brain in a different way. And you get to eat at the end of it. I may have finally found something to engage my time fruitfully. Oh and I'm signing up to teach internationals English. That should be interesting.
