Candidness and Friends

I don't know, I always thought it was the same in Singapore as well; you try to speak with thought so as not to appear stupid in front of other people. But then, as time progressed, I guess other people's opinions don't matter anymore. I'm not sure if that's because I've become familiar with them (and thus don't care), or if I'm simply more confident of myself so that I don't really bother.

I think you take your friends as they come. Some people you make an instant connection with, others take a bit of work, and some never stay anymore than just acquaintances, even though you know deep down that they're decent people. The person who coined the phrase "Every stranger is a friend you have not yet met" forgot to include the degree and closeness of friendship into the equation.

And Nige, that's what this blog is around for. For us to keep in contact so we don't drift, and to post rubbish stuff on in as candid a manner as possible because we know the others will accept our opinions (unless I say I've started smoking or whoring, upon which I will be universally condemned of course).

And Jing, that was a hell of a picture. It made me LOL. Haha...
