4 Balls & A Carnival

Josh, Ken, me & old ball Clarence played in some softball slow pitch tournament for ORA last weekend. Haha true to ball brother cockness... the josh low morale again after batting like a sai n kena subbies out... ken showed his proness as FIRST BASE!!! and started every match... and the joo kena STRUCK OUT!!! flailing at a tossed ball. And clarence is some batting god at slowpitch!!!
Despite our best efforts to cui... we still got 3rd.
As Clarence said... it feels good to play with Rafflesians & feel the Rafflesian Spirit
The ORA ppl are damn cool!!! From 50 yrs old directors & managers, to 30 yr old pot-bellied lawyer, current RJC & RGS teachers, the Han brothers (Eugene, Lionel & Andrew) & the current RI, RGS, RJC sec 4 J1 batch. It feels weird & yet exhilarating to stand in outfield and see: on my right a RJC teacher Mr Chan (who's only 26), on my left his J1 student & on the pitching mound some 40+ yr old absolute non-milf (incidentally her daughter's also on the team)
Surprise surprise!!! There was unlimited free flow of food (nuggets, hotdogs,bee hoon, twisties, apples, grapes etc) courtesy of the RGS teacher-in-charge. You can imagine Josh's glee hehe...
And the myth is true!!! There were bottles n bottles of champagne n wine for us after the matches. Really free kio!!!
Haha remember when we were in RI coach always raved about his senior batches? The juniors know us as the fucked up batch who didn't even qualify for the semis. But somehow they all know NIGEL.. supposedly the invincible & God-like first baseman. It has something to do with Nigel showing up for their matches regularly (whist we always pangseh)
I enjoy softball now cos it's slack (no more endless toil of training after training after training weekly) and cos there's no pressure to perform =)
End of the day, it feels good just to clown around on the pitch with fellow ball brothers again. Let's all join once everyone's back.
PS: We found more dota buddies aka the Sec 4s & J1s. In Keith's words... we need a life man. Playing with small boys now haha.
