Chesterification

I think on a scale of 1 to 10 on chesterification, where 1 being you still talk Singlish and act like how you would in Singapore to the angmohs, and 10 being a drastic change like dear chester cheong, I think I would rank myself maybe 3.

Basically, there's not been much changes except from the fact that you have to come out of your comfort zone and actively meet people or get to know people, much as sometimes you're just too lazy to do so. I have some white male brits as friends, hardly know any white brit girls, but other ethnicities but local students I have quite a handful, but sadly, hardly any girls. What I lament the most is not having a close group of friends to do stuff with, yet. Then again, in Singapore I really pretty much as an amoeba so I think it doesn't affect me that much, yet.

Sometimes I listen to cheong and his stories, and how he's got his group of close friends, and I wish I could do so. Perhaps maybe the stereotype about the brits being more cliquish is true, perhaps the fact that I'm unwilling to spend money and really want to study is a reason, but then again, I wouldn't want to be like excuses chong. Glad for nigel that he's having a great time there, even with the girls, that fucker. Where's your video chester?

But life here is good, I think I enjoy it. Having alot of free time to yourself, and less distractions like back in Singapore, offer you more time to study really. So far studying's been enjoyable, so far at least. Don't think you'll be hearing that from me quite often, lest I become a burnout tan.
