Friday night

Hmm actually I really don't have much to post. Life is pretty good here. The food's palatable, sometimes. Lots of readings but somehow, I get the feeling that while there's a lot of content, the level of analysis and discussion just isn't quite the same as S level or even parts of A level. Well all this could change of course since I've only finished the 2nd week of school. As you can see, I'm blogging on Friday night which means that my social life is rather dead. I might go watch some Bollywood film with some of my hallmates later though. My part of the hall is full of the party-goers who just get drunk every weekend night. While I'm sure everyone would enjoy the revival of The Legend, the brain is a valuable object and should not be subjected to excessive amounts of alcohol.

I just got an e-mail from brown's very own singsoc, the B U Merlions. Laugh at that all you want but they promised guo tie on Sunday. Who can resist that? Now all I have to do is keep mentioning har cheong gai to them until someone *ahem cooks it. I'm in intra-mural soccer and probably joining some journal of international affairs and tae kwan do. I'll hopefully squeeze in some com service as well. While the temptation to nua is always there, since coming out of the army, I'm a lot more inclined to make the best use of my time. Hence prior to this blog, I was actually reading the travels of Marco Polo. That's about it. I live a studious and virtuous life in Brown :) hahaha

Chieh please make up your mind soon on whether you'll be staying in the UK over the winter so I can book my ticket there. I look forward to attempts to find har cheong gai and tauhuey in London. 80 pence? groovy baby yeah!
