Ultimately, A Humbling Experience

Finally decided to switch to the same font and font size as the rest on account of "standardisation" and fellowship. "Verdana" was starting to look too big, even at size "Small".

OOP, had I known you were going to go on a bitching rant I would have started one myself. Oh, which Filipino were you talking to? Vanessa, or Nancy?

I think Singaporeans in general have too high expectations of people providing service, regardless of the kind of service being provided. And they expect too much without much consideration or introspection - of whether or not their demands are too harsh or if they are even demanding the right things from the right people. True, working in an establishment like Que Pasa would demand a certain degree of wine expertise, but technically I'm there as a "Server", not a bloody "Sommelier" (check that out).

But angry rant aside, having to serve someone is a truly humbling experience. It's very different from the nose-in-mud tekan we endured in OCS, because it's more of a subjugation of your pride to actually have to serve someone who may not deserve good service. It builds character I'm sure, and gives us horror stories to regale you all with.
