PENzzz....

Yay, I got the first post-Bali entry!

It feels good to be back in Singapore, where people speak proper English, where no one keeps trying to sell you Bintang Biru shirts at hideous prices, where I'm not afraid of eating chicken for fear of bird flu.

But I really enjoyed the trip, even though all we did was nua around most of the time. Thank you Andy and Nigel, I'll pay you guys back soon (I know Nigel won't read this, because he doesn't blog!). I really enjoyed getting a tan while fishing, even though I caught only one fish, that died promptly after I tried to free it; I also enjoyed the cheap 80 cents Arak Attak, and the friendly proprietor of our Lao Di Fang. I wasn't really very enthusiastic about visiting the Monkey Forest (on account of having no money left), but the Amazing Race Asia and all the pretty Indo peh pehs made up for it. And I really enjoyed the late-night Bridge sessions, even though I really think Ben doesn't deserve to win.
